Some of my recent creations...

I have been pretty busy. I know I am supposed to be studying. But this is a lot more fun. :) Unless you talk with Sheldon. He says I get very frustrated when I create...I think I just have to learn how to relax and enjoy it more.

I have been on a creating binge...Kitties, Mice, Chicks.....

I recently found scallops and have been using them like crazy. I love how they look on the cards.

I am trying....

Sheldon has been reminding me that I am supposed to be selling not just making and swapping...especially since I never give any of the swaps away. So to justify for all I spent the other day at Hobby Lobby...I decided to try and make some scrapbook pages.

All I ever see are girl pages...and thought I was going to do a couple of boy pages first. Everyone has boys so far in my family....so it seemed more appropriate. Maybe Carrie will have a girl.

They are fun...one of my online swapping friends is going to send me a diecut tag to add to the bottom...and then I will post it on Ebay. We will see how they do.

See Our Vegetable Garden Grow

Sheldon and I (and my mom) are amazed at how our garden is growing....I just went out this morning and the squash and zukes are blooming like crazy. The green beans aren't as much but I have eated the first bean off of it....though the kitties might be beating me to the punch.

The tomatoes and peppers are a lot smaller...but they are still doing so good. It probably helps that we screened in that area and don't have as many bugs out there.

I cannot wait to start eating all the veggies....though I will probably overwhelmed once they start to come in.

Ugly Card Swap

This is the second card swap that I hosted. :) I took inspiration from an ugliest jewelry contest that I read about. It was so much fun. Everyone's ideas were different...even if they weren't that UGLY!!!

Mom's Birthday Party

Yesterday was a fun day. I should have been home studying for Math, Spanish, Psychology, Accounting & Sociology. But instead Sheld & I went and visited my mom and stepdad in Atlanta. They are here for a few days for a work conference.

We left around noon to take Rich to see the Titantic exhibit. After waiting for 20 minutes at the wrong hotel for him things went a lot better. The exhibit was pretty amazing. There was over 300 artifiacts on display. Each guest was given a boarding pass with a passanger from The Titantic. At the end we found out if we were one of the survivors or not. That made it pretty intense.

Afterwards we met my mom and went to dinner. We were supposed to be meeting my brother and sil also. But there was some miscommunication and they didn't come. However we went out to a Pub and had a pretty good dinner.

It was nice to see mom and Rich. With them living in North Carolina we don't get to see them as much as we would like.

JunkMail & Recycle Swap

This is the first swap that I hosted. Everything had to be recycled or junk mail. All the women in this swap were great. Everyone sent in great stuff.

I just had to figure out how to sort everything. NOtice my handy dandy sorter. The floor. :) Luckly for me all the kitties were sleeping so they didn't help.

Our house has been...

Taken over by the plants. There was a freeze scare here a few days ago. So guess who got to come in and stay inside. All of our veggies. We have tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers, green beans and herbs. YIKES. I cannot even get to my kitchen because of this.

But they are growing healthy. We will eat good this summer.

Inchie Contest---Lots of Layering

I have been challenged by Lori (littledevil) to hold an Inchie card contest. So once I receive all the "cards" I will post them here and people can vote.

Haven't decided on the prize yet...but since these are small...so should the prize. LOL I will probably have it open to 10 people and 2nd place will get to keep all the goodies.

It is all about Layering.....the more layers the better.

TODAY....

Yikes,

Today was a hard day. I feel like pulling out my hair. I had to study, study and study some more. I had one test today...in statistics. And tomorrow I have one in Psych....plus a quiz in Accounting and then Wednesday we start all over again.

I think if I studied hard one more day I would have Stat down pat...but as it was I was about 75% sure on things. So depending on how that goes it can go either in your favor or not. We will see.

Better go and finish studing for Psych.

Creativity

I was looking through some old photos and found some jewelry that I designed last summer. I realize that I miss creating jewelry. I have been busy lately with school and haven't felt the creative bug. Plus lately I have been on the Paper Crafts Message Board and doing card swaps. The women there have been great and have helped me grow so much in my cardmaking skills.

I do miss my jewelry making though...perhaps next month when school is out I will start up again. I just won't think about all the classes I am taking for summer school.

I am also excited because I saw a picture of myself...and I was about 20 pounds heavier. I didn't think a 20 lb weight loss would make a difference. But it does.

Savannah

We made it to Savannah. It is a beautiful city. We didn't have enough time to do everything that we wanted. However, Sheld & I were able to take in River Street, walk through the squares. We ate dinner the first night at the Pirates House...that was very fun & delicious. I am finding that I am a shrimp fan.

We went to bed pretty early. We were too tired puppies (forgive my pun) after what Batman had put us through. Plus, Sheldon had to get up early the next day for his GSA conference.

I on the other hand, slept in. Then I went and walked around some antique and gift stores before meeting up with Sheldon for lunch. After walking around and looking at different areas...he went Metal Detecting with a guy he meet through a MD website. I stayed and hung out in the room.

On Saturday, we went to the Davenport House Museum and had lunch before making the journey home. We were going to eat at Paula Dean's restaurant. Lady & Sons but there was a huge line and we were starving.

Excitement

We had a bit of excitement this weekend. We were supposed to leave early Thursday morning for Savannah. However our journey didn't start off as we had planned. Batman had gotten out of the house on Tuesday night...came back Wednesday not doing so well. We found out that he had been bit by something. So we ended up takinghim to the Vet. Everything turned out okay. $150.00 later and 2 tired parents. We were in bed by 3:00. So we ended up leaving a bit later than planned.
