My compter is slowly dying...

I hope it is just the fan....but I am afraid to turn it on. Luckily for me, Sheldon has his own computer. Yeah!!! I hope I don't kill his off.

I have some new items to post. However, it will be awhile...I have to figure out how to hook up the camera on his computer and reset myself up.

Hope everyone is having a great New Year so far. :)

Christmas TY's and swaps completed

I have been busy...staying up too late and crafting. I now need to spend some time sending it all out. LOL

Last night I made some quick TY cards. Jess sent me these cute penquins and I knew I had to use them. I need to make a couple more...but luckily for me I still have a couple.

Earlier in the day I completed my Happy Hearts ATC Swap. Yeah.....one more down. 7 more to go.

Christmas is over...

Well Christmas is over....so now what do I make? :) No more Christmas cards for awhile. I still have my New Years cards to finish and mail. However, I joined a bunch of swaps. Just don't let Sheldon know. LOL It is keeping me busy and semi out of trouble.

These calendar chick cards I made using SCS limited supply challenge. I think they turned out cute. They were supposed to be for a swap...however, I didn't pay close attention and I didn't sign up for any regular VD swaps. I signed up for an ATC swap and a 3x3 card swap. So I guess I will have to find some people to send these to.

This House Mouse card I made for the birthday swap that I joined. I also used SCS challenge LC156. It was a fun card to make...a little frustrating because I wanted to add ribbon at the bottom but the scallop was too big. I made 6 of these.

This last one, is an ATC (Artist Trading Card) that I made for a swap. It was supposed to be a shabby/grungy Valentine ATC. I thought this was kind of a fun layout and design. Since I am sending it to fellow crafters I liked the idea of it being funny and tongue in check instead of super mushy.

SCS Saturday Night card Challenge

I forgot...I know how could I...about the challenges over at SCS....I had only done one before. So last night I took a peek and thought I would try it. Here is the original inspiration. It is a sticky note.

So I did my best and made a card using a new SU set I bought and turned it into a tent card. After making my first tent card the other day I decided I like them. I will giving it along with several other cards I have made to my aunt as part of her Christmas present.
I was amazed by all the different looks that came out of this. If you want to look at all the other ones it is IC107 at SCS.

Gift Wrap

Well I have been trying to be creative. Here is a picture of some of the gifts that I am giving away this year...wrapped of course. I made the bow myself...I found the directins on splitcoaststampers.
I took the picture on my deck...which isn't very pretty. So I did a very basic Photoshop edit. Not very good but it hides the background.

Creative Challenge

Last night I was bored. :) Not like I didn't have a lot to do. LOL So I asked for a challenge and my friend cardsharkette gave me one.....pink/brown w/yellow and hearts. YIKES. She picked all colors I only have scraps of....but while folding clothes I thought about it.

Here is the card I created....

Now I need to finish getting ready for Christmas. I have a house to clean and presents to finish making and wrapping.

Hope you and your family have a Happy Holidays!

Feeling Creative

Well...I definitely go through cycles. One day feeling like I cannot make anything and the next not able to stop. Sometimes it doesn't come out quite the way I envsioned...but that is besides the point. LOL

Today I made a couple of different things in between doing other stuff. The first is from my SS (Wilbur) she sent me a bunch of different images and this lady was one of them. I colored her with my Prismas and some mineral spirits...I cannot find my stubs so I used a paint brush. Seemed to work okay. Then on the inside I stamped...I need my fairy godmother. She reminds me of my grandmother who passed away several years ago.
I shouldn't mention this...but I had a lot of problems making this card. :) My SU inkpad fell apart on me...and while trying to put it back together I became covered in ink...my hands, my shirt...yikes...and even though I cleaned my hands I still managed to get ink on the white paper...so I printed out the hello to cover it up...then on that paper I saw some ink too...so I put the flower. I guess being messy helps my creativity. It gets me to add more layers.

Then while looking at the swap page (I am not supposed to be doing that)....I found a Fluffles Swap. Now I don't know about you but I cannot resist Fluffles. I didn't want to do fall or christmas since it is almost over....so I picked my spring Fluffles. I used my Prismas for him too...but only used the mineral spirits on Fluffles...I left the flowers natural. This was a pretty easy swap. I only had to make 6. I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the scallops and used SU paper. The colros don't all match 100% but I think it turned out nice.

Couple of new items....

Well I have been working on a project...which I cannot post on here. :) It is for a family member and they might look. LOL (Probably not.) IT took me 3 days to make and I haven't been making much of anything else. But the other night I decided to start on my dominos for a domino swap. Well they weren't coming out very well. But a fellow scrapper is doing a different project and put up some websites to check out. Which I did and found some great ideas.

So I have 5 dominos made so far. We need to send out 4 in the swap...so I might make a few more. Plus make a kitty one for myself.
Then I received some cool dog images from a friend. :) I used one to make a card for Jordan. Now I will need to make jared a different card.

Family Newsletter....

I just created a family newsletter for Sheldon & I. We have been married for 3 years and with being so far away from a lot of our friends and family I thought it would be good to create one.

More fun with new ink...

I am procrastinating a little bit. :) I am supposed to be studying for a test. I studied about 4 hours this morning...and a little this afternoon. But I should be doing nothing but studying.

However, instead I have been creating.

This first card I made for my fil...my inlaws went to the Caribbean for Thanksgiving and are coming back tonight. I thought this would be fun for them.

This other card was with a House Mouse stamp I purchased awhile ago. I had only used it once, since the stamp was really hard to stamp and get a clear impression. Which I found out is an ink problem. My new SU ink pad has taken care of that. I colored them both in with Prismas and used a blender pencil.

Christmas Time Is Here (Though it is almost 80 here)

Hi again,

Paper Crafts Magazine is having an online contest on gift wrapping. I am not that big of a wrapper normally....I have finally been able to get my gifts wrapped well enough for my sister not to believe that I have done it. LOL

However, I thought I would try this contest. Especially since this year we are giving away mostly gift cards. It is getting harder and harder to find gifts for family. Even Sheld & I have a really hard time buying each other gifts. We usually just pick them out ourselves.

Here are two of the gift boxes I have completed. One has a bit of ribbon, flowers and bling. The other one is a little more out there...with buttons, glitter, ribbon and snowflakes. :)

I also made a bow out of cupcake liners...but that isn't ready to be seen yet. I did that for my nephew Jared...it is with Scooby Doo liners.

Pencils & Inks, Oh My!

Hi,

I am pretty excited. I went to Michael's the other day and Prismas were on sale. I hard a hard time trying to decide between the 12 or 24 pack...However, I went for the 24. Yeah. :)

The same day my SU black ink came in. I am pretty excited...I am able to use my large stamps without killing my hands. One of my PC MB friends told me that it was pretty sad to be excited over ink and pencils...but that is the world we live in.
Here are the 2 cards that I created....I have some smearing on them. So don't look at that. Both stamps are Penny Black.
