What is your personality????

It is scary how true most of it is....I think most people though see me as more put together than I really am.

You Are An INFJ

The Protector

You live your life with integrity, originality, vision, and creativity.

Independent and stubborn, you rarely stray from your vision - no matter what it is.

You are an excellent listener, with almost infinite patience.

You have complex, deep feelings, and you take great care to express them.

In love, you truly see relationships as an opportunity to connect and grow.

You enjoy relationships as long as they are improving and changing. You can't stand stagnation.

At work, you stay motivated and happy... as long as you are working toward a dream you support.

You would make a great photographer, alternative medicine guru, or teacher.

How you see yourself: Hardworking, ethical, and helpful

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Manipulative, weak, and unstable

A Couple of Cards...

Hi,

I have been a bit slack this week in creating. It has been so hot here that I don't feel like doing a lot during the day. Well that isn't true. I think I read 3 books in as many days. I haven't done that in probably 5 years. In high school I would read 5 or 6 200 page books a night. I would start reading at 3 pm and besides eating dinner...do nothing but read untill 1-2 am.

This first card I made for the informal challenge on PaperCrafts Mag website. It was to do a Paper Piecing Card. I found a free quilt pattern online and used that for my square.
The second card I made while Sheldon and I were watching a movie. My friend Janice sent me some Whipper Snapper images..She always colors hers using Prismas and Gamasol, however, she recommended that I not do that since I am pregnant. So instead I used my copics.
Thanks for looking...and I hope you ahve a great night & weekend. Tomorrow Sheldon and I are going to go garage saling.

Fun at the Fair!!!

SHeldon and I went with a friend to the Renaissance Fair today. :) We left at about 9:30 and just got home...at 8:30. We are tired....and a bit sunburnt. However, we got to see a bird show, blacksmith, glass blowser, the jousting, and a bunch of different shows. It was fun!!! I think I drank about 10 gallons of water while I was there. I actually ate pretty healty. LOL All 3 of us had chicken cesaer salads in a bread bowl.

The first show that we went and saw was the Birds of Prey. It was sponsored by an organization called EarthQuest and we saw a Red Tailed Hawk, a black vulture and a Andes Condor.
Then we watching the Flying Debris Juggling Act. Next, Sheldon and I went and saw the Blacksmith create a nail. While he was doing the show a woman came up and told him that his building was on fire. He took it all in stride....it must have happened before. After that we saw the Nickel Shakespeare Girls who do a show about all the women (or men playing women) in Shakespeare. It was pretty bawdy. Then we had an hour to the jousting and our friend Curt wanted to see that. So we were walking around and decided to watch the Washer Girls. It was a much better show than I thought it was going to be....they did use Sheldon for a prop during the show and she told me afterwards that he makes a great couch. My feet can testify to that every night. :)

Then we accidentially came upon the glass blower. Which I was glad we did as it was one of the shows I wanted to see. He made a glass mug. It was so fun watching all the kids faces. I didn't even think to tell Sheldon to take pics of it.

After that, was the joust. I will tell you the truth. I was so exhausted by then...that I just sat around and people watched. It was 5:30 and not in the shade...so I was definitely exhausted.

Finally, here is a picture of Sheldon & I (with my baby bump starting to show.) Have a great day!

Daily Challenge on PaperCrafts Website

Hi,

Awhile ago...I started a daily challenge on PC website. Each day someone new was supposed to post a challenge. It went pretty well for awhile but then kind of went away. There had been some interest in restarting it....so I issued a challenge for Today/Tomorrow....Using the Masking Technique. This is definitely something I am not great at.....That is why it is a challenge. LOL

Here is what I came up with. Origianlly I came up with a fantastic idea of the birds all stacked up on top of each other and having the sentiment Friendship Grows. But I realized soon enough....I wasn't that talented. Therefore, I thought of how excited our cats get when the birds come to our bird feeders and how they are in kitty heaven. So that is how I came up with this idea. I love using Tiny who I call Fat Cat.

As you can see, I have the black along the edges...I noticed I had some smudges so I was trying to hide that. Then I noticed I had a lot more smudges in other places. I am hoping noone notices and thinks it is part of the design. :)

Happy Birday!!!

Hi....

I decided to make and post another card....I guess I am feeling creative tonight. It is finally starting to cool off...we are going to have a storm hit. I used some of my scraps of the SEI paper that I had....and just kept layering. It is 4.25 x 4.25. Wasn't sure what to do with it. And I saw on PaperCrafts Website a post by pjpants about doing a paper piercing swap so I tried it and used my SU bird set (first time using it.) and it is a bit busy....but I like it.

Thanks for looking.

Birthday Card

Hi...

I bought PaperCrafts 101 Magazine...it is 14.99 but definitely worth it. I loved all the cards and actually decided to try and to make one.

The one I did is on page 81 called Eat Cake. My layout is pretty similar but I used flower instead of a rub on wording (eat cake) in the middle. Plus I placed a sentiment down in the corner...which they didn't have. I was originally going to put a puffy cake sticker in the middle...however, it was too big and the wrong colors.

I won't say who this card is for....they might be reading. :) Probably not!!! I will just say....somehow my DH his mom & his dad's birthday's are all a couple of days apart. And I doubt it is for dh or his dad.

Also, I didn't have a piece of chipboard so I made my own version of the circle cutout using my CB.

Thanks for looking.

PS...the designer of the card in the mag is Angelia Wigginton

Just Because...

I made these two cards this evening...Just Because!!! I received this set, I think it is called Furnished with Love from a friend. We swapped a bunch of stamps. I thought it looked like a fun set and would be easy to color with the copics.
Poor Sheldon, I think I was up and down about 20 times during the movie we were watching. First I had to clean up a previous mess that was driving me crazy. Then I started working on these. I pulled out the CB and everything...but decided not to use it. Overall I kept them pretty simple.
Thanks for looking!!!!

New Swaps!!!

Hi,

I have actually finished 2 swaps. :) I think I have 3 more to do. So I am doing pretty good. Last night Sheldon and I went to an Eagle Scout Ceremony. I am definitely thinking that if we have a boy...he is going to become a Boy Scout. Randy was a great guy. Sheldon works with his dad and it was really nice meeting him. He is graduating this year and will be going to Georgia Tech.

So, after we did that...Sheldon and I decided last night to watch a movie. One of my normal routines while we are watching tv is to craft....drives Sheld crazy as I leave a huge mess along the way. However, I get things done when I do this.

So I decided to work on my Photo Image Card Swap. I used my picture of Rocky. It didn't turn out quite the way I wanted. However, with a face like that....how bad could the card be.

TFL,

Does the Early Bird Get the Worm?

Yes, I believe it is true. Sheldon and I have been working hard on getting up early to go and work out. On Wednesday we woke up at 6:00 AM and Friday I was up by 5:40 AM. So, today we decided that we were going to try out a local grocery store that was supposed to have fantastic biscuit sandwiches and go to the Botanical Gardens.

The kitties had us up by 7:00 AM--so we were out the door by 7:30 AM. We found out that the grocery store no longer serves breakfast so we went to McDonald's and arrived at the Botanical Gardens at 8:00 AM.

We decided to take the easy 1 mile route down by the river and back up on the other side. Our goal is to build up to the 2.9 mile trail....however, that might be after the baby is born.

We were passed by a couple of joggers....and Sheldon was letting me walk in front of him. When I turned my head and right in eye level of me. I gave a little scream and jump and Sheldon walked over and saw him. Luckily we brought our camera, however, as Sheldon was getting it ready the owl flew away. We were so bummed...however, he just flew over into another tree so he could keep an eye on us.
We think he is a Barrel Owl. To show the owl all the way....I had to use the shadow/hilight feature on Photoshop so it takes away the contrast.

We stayed and watched him for awhile and another jogger came by and we had him look at the owl.

After that...I was on the lookout for other animals. Sheldon came across a frog. Then I came across a lizard.
So all in all...I would say that we had our worms this morning. What a fun way to start the day. Of course untill I got lost on the way back to the car and ended up walking a lot further because I had to do a turnaround.

We are thinking of making this a weekly Saturday excursion.

Thanks for listening.

Beaded ATC Swap

Hi, I am pretty excited. I love doing swaps with Katherine (dokis on PCMB Website). She always holds such fun swaps and everyone does fantastic work.

I think I have joined 4 or 5 of her swaps---one was for 4x4 collages, another one was vintage Valentine's....actually I cannot remember them all.

For her beaded swap---the only requirement was that there was beads on the atc. I did the flower lady with earrings....and it was so fun to see the variety.

Thanks again, Katherine!!! I will be looking out for more fun swaps to join. Maybe I will be on time one of these days.

PS....the self portrait swap isn't due until the end of June...so I am ahead on that one.

Self Portrait Swap

I joined a self portrait atc swap. :) I was under the false assumption that I could draw a picture of myself....LOL NOt to be. So instead I did a photo and made some changes in photoshop....it is easier to see in person than in the picture the changes.
She said we could a biography of ourselves...so instead of just doing it in the back...I made it into a little card.
Thanks for looking.
